Amish Dining and Kitchen Furniture

Amish Dining is the real hit at House of Oak & Sofas. When our business began, in 1985, we sold, almost exclusively, Amish-crafted dining furniture, from Holmes County, Ohio.  Read more on Amish Crafted furniture.

Picture of Amish Kirkland side and arm chairs.Amish Chairs At House of Oak & Sofas, we present the finest chairs that we have seen—sturdy seats, strong spindles, and wood screws in all major joints.  All spindles are custom fit and driven together with mallets so the chairs will stay tight.  Most of the furniture comes  from Holmes County, Ohio where the world's largest settlement of Amish live.

Chinas and Hutches. The Amish have also developed an extensive line of Chinas and Hutches to compliment their tables. Although formal hutches are not as popular in dining as they once were, a variety of china cupboards are now available with specialty storage areas for wine, silverware and linens.  The great thing about amish china cupboards is they can be modified with no doors to display your collectibles, wood doors to hide the mess inside, or glass doors to protect from dust, but show what's inside.  Asking for larger drawer space to store folded linens is a common request as well.  At House of Oak & Sofas, customization is our specialty: often at very little added cost.

Amish Cupboard.Cupboards, pie safes, and benches.  What is a cupboard anyway?  Originally it must have been a step up from a board on the wall to store cups: thus "cup-board!"  Although this category has all but disappeared from most furniture stores, we sell quite a variety of cupboards for kitchens, game rooms, bathrooms, and boot rooms.  Your cabinet might store games, shoes, boots, groceries, garden supplies, linens, towels or tools and shelves can be adjusted for the best fit.  We sell benches anywhere from 2 foot to 8 foot long: benches strong enough that you can stand on them (we don't recommend it).  Wood seats look great, but all can be upholstered as well.

For all the things that you are.
