There are thousands of desk chairs in the market place priced from $49 to several thousand dollars. For casual home use, the chair choice is a casual choice. However, for full time 8-hour a day use, the choice becomes more discriminating and it is imperative that the user is involved in narrowing the field. Due to alignment of our back, personal seating and posture choices, the end-user will want to spend some time "feeling" the fit of the chair. Amish desk chairs may be ordered with or without arms. Desk chairs without arms, termed "side chairs," usually slide under the desk better, especially if the desk has a center drawer. All the Amish desk chairs are adjustable in height from approximately 17" to 20" with a manual moving of the screw and collar. However, a gas-lift, which provides more ease in changing seat height, is available for an additional charge. Almost any dining chair can be put on a desk base.
