Dinette Tables - Small Dining Tables

Small dining tables that seat from 2-4 people are more popular than ever at House of Oak & Sofas. Townhouses, duplexes, and retirement homes often have a small eat-in kitchen area that requires this type of table.
Round Tables
Round tables, of course, offer the best utilization of tight spaces. Although the larger top of a four-cornered leg table is nice for increased serving space, those extra four corners can also be great "thigh bumpers" when moving in tight spaces.
Drop Leaf Tables
Drop-leaf tables offer diversity where one or two people eat on a regular basis, but occasional guests can be accommodated. Sometimes the drop-leaf table, whether round or rectangular, will be pushed up against a wall with the leaf down on that side, and the leaf on the opposite side is kept up. This gives 3/4 of a table.
Leg Tables
Seniors sometimes prefer leg tables as they offer maximum support when physically challenged persons choose to use the table to help support their weight as they push up off the table when standing. Of course those same legs can be a nuisance when sliding in and out of a chair when compared to a pedestal table. Another advantage of pedestal tables some can accommodate wheel chair accessible dining. If you are looking for this feature either bring your measurements, or better yet, your wheel chair, in making this purchase.
Swivel Chairs for Dinette Dining
Finally a comment on the use of swivel chairs for dinette dining. The casual nature of this type of décor means that this feature has become more and more desirable. Again with seniors, the ease of rolling up to and away from the table, with a simple swivel of the chair, provides the person with a less stressful living situation.
